From Survival to Strength and Sisterhood: Celebrating Every Step of the Journey This National Cancer Survivors Month
Can you believe we’re already halfway through the year? And here we are in June, a month that holds deep meaning for so many of us. It’s National Cancer Survivors Month, a time to honor the strength and resilience of those who have faced cancer head-on and lived to tell the story.
At My Style Matters, survivors aren’t just part of our mission. You are the mission. You are the heartbeat behind every workshop, every pop-up, and every support community we create. Whether you’re still in the fight, newly out of treatment, or years into your thriving chapter, we see you, we celebrate you, and we’re walking with you.
Our founder, Tiah Tomlin-Harris, is a two-time breast cancer survivor who didn’t just survive; she turned her pain into purpose. Because of her, every single program we offer carries the heartbeat of lived experience. That’s what makes us different. That’s what makes us family.
Whether you’re in treatment, out of treatment, or figuring out what healing looks like on your terms, we see you. We honor you. And sis, we walk with you.
Programs Made with Love by Survivors, For Survivors
H.E.R. Support
We created H.E.R. Support for women like us, navigating breast cancer while carrying the weight of family, fear, and faith.
H.E.R. stands for Health, Education, Experiences, and Resources, the core of what every woman needs to heal and thrive. Over 12 weeks, survivors are poured into with love, tools, and real talk. From learning how to nourish your body, calm your spirit, detox your space, to advocating for yourself, you’ll gain more than knowledge, you’ll gain strength.
And when it’s all said and done, we don’t just close the chapter. We celebrate it. Our closing retreat is a soul-restoring experience that reminds each woman: you made it, and you are not alone.
Thanks to our incredible community of supporters, the Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer, we’re now in our third cohort. Take a peek at the recap video and feel the love, the healing, and the power that fills this space.
My Breast Years Ahead
This is more than support; it’s sistahood. Our peer-to-peer group is open to any woman diagnosed with cancer. Any stage, any type, during or after treatment. Whether you call yourself a survivor, a thriver, a warrior, or just trying to make it through the week, this is a space where you’re seen, heard, and empowered.
H.E.R.: Healing, Empowerment & Resilience Survivorship Course
This trauma-informed program is specifically for Black and Latina women who are rebuilding after a breast or cervical cancer diagnosis. It’s more than a class; it’s an empowerment for your soul. Through this course, you’ll gain tools to advocate for yourself, emotionally reset, and walk into the next season of your life with clarity, courage, and confidence.
Walk It Out Wednesdays: Learn and Burn With Us
Healing isn’t just about rest, it’s about movement, too. One step at a time, we reclaim our bodies, our joy, and our peace.
Join us every other Wednesday as we move with purpose, clear our minds, and connect with a community that truly gets it. While we walk, you’ll hear powerful thoughts from guest speakers sharing inspiration, wellness tips, and real-life lessons to keep us going.
So lace up those sneakers, grab a sista, and let’s Learn and Burn together.
Because Survival Is Just the Beginning
At My Style Matters, survivorship isn’t the end of the story. It’s the start of something powerful. Every program we offer was created by survivors, for survivors, and it’s all because of one core truth:
You are not alone.
So whether you need a safe space to cry, a community to laugh with, or tools to build a new future, we got you. We’re here to remind you that healing is possible, thriving is your birthright, and your story has power.
Let’s continue to heal. Loud. Proud. And beautifully whole.
