ABOUT THE EVENT
My Style Matters, Inc. (MSM), in collaboration with Blessings Working Together, Painted Pink, and Patient Advocate Foundation is holding a community health education experience designed to provide crucial interventional education, information, and support specifically designed for Black women and girls.
This educational experience is a response to identified issues such as a lack of breast health and breast cancer knowledge, coupled with lifestyle factors, contributing to healthcare disparities in Georgia. This events design, which features panel discussions, hands-on educational sessions, and networking opportunities, will help individuals access culturally relevant, timely, and actionable information while connecting attendees to valuable resources in the community.

My Style Matters is teaming up with Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and Let's Beat Breast Cancer for a special gathering in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. Featuring a unique blend of percussionists from a local band to “Beat the Drum” for breast cancer prevention, all are invited to enjoy the music and raise your voice to support this lifesaving message!
The Let’s Beat Breast Cancer campaign seeks to raise awareness about four lifestyle steps that can reduce the risk of breast cancer and risk of recurrence.

The rally will take place as part of the HERitage Health Experience from 1pm to 2pm.

Painted Pink is a movement dedicated to making a profound impact in the lives of millennial women through transformative initiatives focused on breast health.
They support millennials with access to mentors, resources, and medical professionals who understand the intersection of breast health and the realities of breast cancer for this generation. We are proponents of the purposely pink lifestyle – knowing your genetic history and being proactive about fitness, nutrition, and clean beauty practices.
BLESSINGS WORKING TOGETHER
Blessings Working Together’s mission is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where teen mothers who are at risk for homelessness can receive counseling, learn parenting and life skills, and connect with partner resources to support independence.
Their programs are not just intended to get them there, but also to equip them with the support and tools they need to build sustainability and long-term success. At BWT we will provide special services to help individuals pull themselves up and motivate them to continue their education, find a career path, and provide for their families.
PATIENT ADVOCATE FOUNDATION
Patient Advocate Foundation has been breaking down healthcare barriers for patients diagnosed with chronic, life threatening and/or debilitating illnesses by ensuring they have access to care, preserving their financial stability and safeguarding their employment. As a nonprofit healthcare industry leader, PAF offers free bilingual support, education and guidance to patients nationwide.
