PRIMARY FOCUS

Increase awareness and knowledge about breast cancer, HIV, and overall health to help prevent disease and support early detection and long-term wellness.

Strengthen community connections that continue beyond the event by helping attendees build lasting relationships with local organizations, resources, and one another.

2025 IMPACT

83% reported a knowledge increase in Breast cancer disparities amongst Black women

74% reported a knowledge increase in the connection between HIV and breast cancer

83% reported learning at least one new action they could take to improve their own health or their family’s health

ABOUT OUR PARTNERS

H.Y.P.E. To Empower, Inc.

H.Y.P.E. To Empower, Inc. is a national nonprofit based in Atlanta, Georgia, advancing health equity through digital health literacy, youth development, and storytelling. With expertise rooted in HIV education and advocacy, H.Y.P.E. supports Black and Latinx communities, especially LGBTQIA+ young adults and families, through peer education, media leadership, and systems navigation. H.Y.P.E. brings a proven track record of delivering engaging digital campaigns, building advocacy capacity, and empowering people with tools to tell their stories and shift narratives within underserved health systems.

Blessings Working Together

Blessings Working Together’s mission is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where teen mothers who are at risk for homelessness can receive counseling, learn parenting and life skills, and connect with partner resources to support independence.

Their programs are not just intended to get them there, but also to equip them with the support and tools they need to build sustainability and long-term success. BWT provide special services to help individuals pull themselves up and motivate them to continue their education, find a career path, and provide for their families.

THE EXPERIENCE

Each attendee will receive a swag bag, and each family will receive a bag of fresh produce.

There will also be free breast examinations, plant-based food and cooking demos, line dancing, entertainment, storytelling, health discussions, community resources, a 360 photo booth, giveaways, and more.

This powerful rally—created by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine—is all about taking action to reduce breast cancer risk through four key lifestyle choices: plant-based nutrition, regular exercise, limiting alcohol, and avoiding toxic products.

Join us as we raise awareness, share resources, and empower our community to live stronger, healthier lives!
